The Konfix pro fire protection collars are used to seal disposal pipes in mixed installations consisting of cast-iron pipes that transition to combustible pipes.
Application area:
The Konfix Pro fire protection collar is designed for sealing cast iron disposal pipes, which are key elements in wastewater systems. The fire protection collars are installed where the system transitions to combustible pipes (mixed installation) in accordance with the specifications of DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik - German Institute for Construction Technology) (DIBt Newsletter 02/2012 "Metal pipes with connection to plastic pipes").

Cast iron pipes connected to plastic branch pipes
- Cast iron (main pipes) up to 160 mm in outer diameter
- Branch pipes up to 110 mm in diameter made of PVC, PP, PE-HD, LDPE, PB, PE-X, ABS, ASA
- Sound-absorbing wastewater pipes: Friatec Friaphon, Ostendorf Skolan, Geberit Silent-db20/PP/Pro, Rehau RAUPIANO PLUS/LIGHT, Wavin AS+/SiTech+, Poloplast POLO-KAL 3S/XS/NG, CONEL DRAIN, Pipelife Master 3 and many more
- Deep branches possible (measured from bottom edge of ceiling), depths of 90 mm or more
- Sealing ceilings made of reinforced concrete, concrete and autoclaved aerated concrete with a thickness that is larger than or equal to 150 mm (fire resistance class F90 in accordance with DIN 4102-04)
- The seal must be behind a weather-facing layer measuring at least 12.5 mm in thickness with non-combustible construction panels bound in cement or plaster. Alternatively, the seal must be in solid materials measuring at least 50 mm in thickness
- Also approved even where there is insulation or sheathing in the ceiling opening (see proof of use)
