Moisture-variable special film for sealing window and façade connection joints in indoor and outdoor areas in accordance with the requirements of the German Buildings Energy Act and the principles of the RAL "Guide to installation".
Full-surface, adhesive window sealing tape for quick and simple sealing of indoor and outdoor joints. The Vario window sealing tape is a moisture-regulating film consisting of a non-woven composite with a functional film and laminated, acrylic-based self-adhesive strip and alternating, full-surface self-adhesive for fastening to window profiles and masonry.
The highly functional film variably adapts to seasonal differences in temperature and humidity and thus achieves an excellent drying effect in the joint throughout the year.
Application area:
The Vario window sealing tape is used for reliable interior and exterior sealing of connection joints for doors, windows and panels.
Under window sills, the Vario window sealing tape can be used as a second water-bearing level.
Advantages:
Can be used indoors and outdoors - no need for double storage
Full-surface self-adhesive surface - no additional adhesive required
Excellent drying effect and resistance to driving rain
UV resistance up to 6 months
Greater safety - no risk of confusion regarding indoor or outdoor use
Storage duration up to 24 months
Airtight, windproof and waterproof
Special fleece surface - can be plastered, painted and glued over
Low inherent rigidity and high tear resistance
High elasticity and flexible adaptation
Design:
Self-adhesive surface/full self-adhesive surface
Advice:
Application:
The adhesive surfaces must be load-bearing and stable. The surfaces must be free from dust, release agents, oil, grease, moisture and ice.
When sealing house door and window connections or panels, the release paper is removed from the self-adhesive strip of the window sealing tape, applied to the window frame and firmly pressed down or rolled on.
The window sealing tape can then be adhered to the wall material and rolled on. It is best to press the tape down using a press-on roller (0693 603 002) to ensure proper adhesion.
The window sealing tape can be pre-applied in the workshop. Full-surface bonding must be established in the area to be plastered over. Due to the one-sided, full-surface self-adhesive, no additional bonding with an MS polymer adhesive is required.
The tape must always be installed without tension. Film overlaps must be at least 50 mm in width. The minimum adhesive surface on the component is 30 mm. For vertical joints, always glue the upper tape over the lower tape.
As soon as the adhesive has cured sufficiently for the window sealing tape to hold the weight of the plaster, it can be plastered over.
It is advisable to first carry out an adhesion and compatibility test on each surface. If necessary, pre-treat the surface with a spray primer (0894 800 500). Non-tight areas, corners and cavities are bonded with S78 bond and seal (0898 511 4).
