The SDS Plus stop drill bit is a real problem solver for direct mounting using a gas nailer in hard concrete. It is easy to handle and fits on all rotary hammer drills thanks to the SDS Plus mount. Despite the additional pre-drilling step for direct mounting, the user can still work significantly faster than when using the classic anchor method, as the drill bit only creates a very small hole.

Advice:
Since the nail is placed in the 10 mm deep hole after pre-drilling with the SDS Plus stop drill bit, the nail must be longer in order to have sufficient grip in the base material and to ensure a minimum embedment depth of 11 mm (e.g. XHA 22, XHA 27 or TKA 25).
For fixture thicknesses (Tfix) of 1-3 mm, steel nails XHA 22 and TKA 25 are recommended; for larger fixture thicknesses (Tfix), the nail must be longer. For example, the XHA 27 premium steel nail is recommended for fastening the ABT clamp.
