KWS mineral fibreboard

The KWS mineral fibreboard is coated with a fire protection coating on one side. It is non-flammable and has a raw density of approx. 150 kg/m³ as well as a melting point higher than 1000°C.

Application area:

The KWS mineral fibreboard is intended for the processing of the KWS cable, pipe or soft fire-stop system with fire resistance class up to "fire-resistant" (EI-90) in solid ceilings and walls as well as lightweight dividers.

Field of Application:

Approved for installation in KWS soft fire-stop system:
- All kinds of cables (except waveguides), cable bundles up to 100 mm, the cable surface must be protected by 300 mm with KWS fire protection coating and ring gaps must be sealed using KWS fire protection filler.
- Cable support structures (cable trays, cable racks, cable ladders) made of steel, aluminium or plastic profiles; the surface of the cable and support structure must be protected by 300 mm with KWS fire protection coating. Ring gaps must be sealed using KWS fire protection filler.
- Electrical installation pipes (EIP) made of plastic with or without cable up to a pipe diameter of 32 mm. (Bundles up to 125 mm are possible - suitable pipe collars available on request).
- Flammable pipes with an external pipe diameter of up to 110 mm and pipe wall thicknesses from 1.8 to 6 mm. Pipes must be protected with the KWS continuous pipe collar on both sides (pipe wall diameter up to 125 mm possible - suitable pipe collars available on request).
- Aluminium composite pipes with mineral wool sectional insulation up to 75 mm and pipe wall thicknesses from 2 mm to 6 mm.
- Aluminium composite pipes with synthetic rubber insulation up to 75 mm or without insulation up to 63 mm. Pipes must be protected with the KWS continuous pipe collar on both sides.
- Non-flammable pipes made of copper, steel, stainless steel or cast steel with mineral wool insulation up to 139.7 mm and pipe wall thicknesses from 1.0 mm to 14.2 mm.
- Non-flammable pipes made of copper, steel, stainless steel or cast steel with synthetic rubber insulation up to 54 mm. Pipes must be protected on both ends using the KWS continuous pipe collar (pipe wall diameter of up to 88.9 mm possible)
- Sectional insulation made of mineral wool or synthetic rubber can either be passed through the seal or end at the partition surface (see proof of use).
