The KWS fire protection coating is an ablative, moderately viscous and non-hydroscopic, water-based fire protection coating. It is a construction material consisting mainly of chemically/physically active substances and binders.
Application area:
The KWS fire protection coating is a system component for creating the KWS cable, pipe or combination soft stop fire system EI 90. For coating the mineral fibreboard and cables as well as for sealing small gaps, joints and residual openings between cable positions, pipes and routes within the soft stop fire system.
The KWS fire protection coating can be applied with a brush, roller or airless sprayer and can be diluted with water (2-3 %) depending on the application.
Advantages:

Free from halogen, formaldehyde, borate and plasticisers
Oil- and petrol-resistant
Resistant to ageing, mechanically resistant
Suitable for indoor areas, damp rooms and covered outdoor areas (without driving rain)
Flexible after drying even with thick layers
Temperature-resistant up to -20 °C after drying
