WAGO Gelbox: Compact moisture protection that is easy, fast and safe.
The series 221 WAGO Gelbox perfectly complements the series 221 WAGO connector.
The compact design allows the boxes to be easily placed in all junction boxes, opening up new possibilities for protecting connectors from moisture.
Due to the boxes being pre-filled with gel, the connections are immediately sealed and there are no tedious waiting times. This means that electrical equipment can be put into operation immediately after installation without interruption.
In addition to low-voltage applications, the WAGO Gelbox can also be used in extra-low-voltage applications.
For low-voltage applications (e.g. 230 V), the Gelboxes are used together with connectors in connection boxes. This ensures double insulation of the conductor, as only the wires are encapsulated in the WAGO Gelbox.
For extra-low voltages, also known as SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) applications, WAGO connectors can be used with Gelboxes without an additional connection box.

The WAGO Gelboxes can be easily accommodated in all junction boxes, regardless of whether they are mounted on the wall or beneath the ceiling.
This offers several advantages: First of all, the Gelbox offers time savings, as there is no time required for mixing components. Furthermore, additional time is saved, as there is no waiting time for curing or drying the mixed casting compound.
Another advantage is that the gel is non-hazardous, as the contained chemicals have already reacted in the gel. As a result, the WAGO Gelbox is ready for immediate use.
