RP-TD-P Sandwich self-drilling screw - the chip-free
self-drilling screw for screwing sandwich elements onto wooden substructures without creating chips
ETA_18_1136

Field of Application:

Drilling capacity
Drilling performance [mm]: 0.4-0.75
Component 1 [mm]: steel 0.4-0.75
Component 2 [mm]: wood
Minimum length of thread engagement [mm]: 37
Clamping range of 36 mm to 258 mm across all dimensions

Advantages:

+ Patented geometry enables chip-free fastening. No subsequent cleaning of the roof surface required = saves time and money.
+ Special drilling segment for reducing splitting in the wood substructure

Advice:

Installation recommendation:
1. While placing the screw, apply increased pressure
2. The pressure can be reduced as soon as the thread engages. The speed can then be increased to approx. 1,600 revolutions.
3. Immediately before fitting the sealing washer, reduce the speed considerably and tighten the sealing washer until it compresses slightly.
4. The recommended tightening torque for steel substructures is approx. 3 Nm, for material thicknesses less than 0.8 mm it is 1 Nm. The recommended tightening torque for aluminium substructures is approx. 1 Nm, for material thicknesses less than 0.8 mm it is 0.5 Nm.
