There are many application possibilities for perforated plates in timber construction. They are used, in particular, for manufacturing timber frame and collar beam trusses.
Application area:
For wood-joist connections subject to tensile and compression forces e.g. timber frame connectors, wind braces, strut connections
Advantages:
- CE marking in line with EN 14545
- Suitable for universal use
Advice:
The hole diameter of the perforated plates is 5 mm for all dimensions. The arrangement of the holes is dependent on the width of the plate. Within the same plate widths, the number of holes and the arrangement of the holes at 5 cm intervals is the same. The wooden parts to be connected should be the same width. Two perforated metal plates per connection should always be used. The outermost holes of the plates should be used. The requirements of the timber construction standard for edge and end distances must be adhered to. The fasteners used must comply with EN 14592.
Suitable fasteners are:
• Anchor nails to EN 14592 (article no. 0681 040 ...)
