Function from the inside: Exit from inside to outside, the lever handle on the inside actuates the latch and bolt. Locking with the key from inside or outside is still necessary.
Function from the outside: Only a plate with a fixed door knob or pull handle may be used as the fitting. The latch and bolt can only be actuated with the key using the key-operated latch. Both parts of the lock are retracted.
